MAGUIRE TO THE RESCUE

HARRY MAGUIRE was the hero as his stoppage-time header capped a comeback win and sent Ruben Amorim's Manchester United into the next round.

MAGUIRE TO THE RESCUE

With extra-time looming, Maguire met a free-kick from Bruno Fernandes at the far post and sent an angled header into the far corner to get United and Amorim out of jail.

The United centre-back had strayed offside but with no VAR in the FA Cup his late effort stood. It was an emotional return to Old Trafford for Ruud van Nistelrooy, who as United caretaker manager earlier in the season twice beat Leicester.

Van Nistelrooy and his Leicester squad had arrived on the back of a run of eight defeats in 10 games, although United's run was not much better.

Their new £29million signing, Patrick Dorgu, was thrown straight into the starting line-up - at right wing-back as opposed to his favoured left role - with Amorim selecting a strong side.
