HUNDREDS of thousands of A-Level students who get their results today have been warned a “blip” has caused a drop in the number of university places available.
The number of courses for teenagers in England who do not get their first choices had fallen from 23,280 on Friday to 22,685 yesterday.
The University of Liverpool had last week shown 529 courses as being available on the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) website.
But it is now understood that this is not the case and the error was down to an “administrative blip”.
