BRITISH troops could be ordered to enforce a buffer zone on the Ukrainian frontline under plans being considered by Donald Trump, it was revealed last night.

Fears grow on US support for Kyiv

The incoming US President is alleged to have told his team European armies should patrol an 800-mile stretch of eastern Ukraine to end the war.

It comes as Russian premier Vladimir Putin said relations with the US could be "restored".

Many across the continent fear Trump's re-election will lead to a halt in US military aid.

In exchange, America would give Ukrainian troops weapons to deter Russian forces.
