A court heard that the 42-year-old went to his victim's home in May 2021 and raped her, despite her crying in terror and repeatedly telling him no.
When she tried to get away, Balsevics stopped her leaving the room and raped her again.
The woman then contacted friends who arrived at the property.&nbsp;Balsevics left and was arrested later.
He denied two counts of rape at Peterborough Crown Court, but was found guilty. Detective Constable Katie Housham praised the victim's bravery, adding: "I hope the conviction and jail sentence will help her as she tries to rebuild her life."
