CLIMATE protesters who caused almost 100,000 damage by smashing windows at Barclays London HQ could face up to 18 months in prison.

Eco protest women face jail for bank attack

The seven women, who were convicted of criminal damage, argued in court that staff would have consented to the vandalism if they were fully informed about the climate crisis.

In April last year, the group spread out along the front of Barclays bank in Canary Wharf, east London, before using chisels and hammers to break panels.
