THIS fleeing man holding a knife was being sought last night after an 87-year-old fundraiser was murdered on his mobility scooter on a busy road.
Police said of the suspect: “He is clearly dangerous.” They urged anyone seeing him to keep away and call 999.
They launched a manhunt after disabled Thomas O’Halloran was stabbed to death in Greenford, west London.
The “jolly and kind” accordion player was well-known in the area for busking on behalf of Ukrainian refugees.
As Scotland Yard issued CCTV photos of his alleged attacker, one friend who had known Mr O’Halloran for more than 20 years said: “An elderly man on a mobility scooter is an easy target. It’s a despicable crime.”
The married pensioner was attacked on the A40 Western Avenue on Tuesday afternoon. Fatally wounded, he managed to drive his scooter 75 yards and asked two passers-by for help.
