JOFRA ARCHER has hailed the companionship of his pooches for helping him along the road to recovery.
Archer’s love of dogs was evident when he had just one French Mastiff called Sheeba.
But after being sidelined from international cricket for almost two years with elbow and back stress fractures, Archer, 27, added some American Bully dogs to take his collection to six.
Ace, Onyx, Ghost, Nova and Luna have arrived at his home in Barbados, where he has been training and rehabilitating for much of the past 18 months.
Archer credits the dogs with helping to get him through an injury-ravaged period without bitterness or anger as he returns to doing what he does best.
