BBC boss Tim Davie has unveiled plans to cut 1,000 jobs and reduce its services to plug a funding gap created by the licence fee freeze.

BBC Four and CBBC will no longer be traditional channels with time slots, as the broadcaster goes "digital-first".

BBC World News and BBC News will merge to create a single 24-hour channel serving both UK and international audiences.
