UN WORLD WATER REPORT: INDIA TO BE SEVERELY AFFECTED
The sustainable development goals to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all by 2030 or the SDG 6, is not likely to be achieved if countries continue on the current course, United Nations World Water Development Report 2023 said on Wednesday.
Halfway through the 2030 agenda, the UN report said that progress towards SDG 6 targets is only significantly reported for drinking water and sanitation.
Only preliminary and rough indications of progress for water stress, water use efficiency, transboundary cooperation and Integrated Water Resources Management have been reported, leaving five of the eleven target indicators without quantified information on progress.
