'Even with a lung disease, you can still push yourself' Harriet limbers up for four marathons

Harriet Davidson with best friend Lauren Weetch - the pair will take on the challenge alongside Harriet's husband Adam

Harriet Davidson is running four marathons back-to-back over four consecutive days this month.

She was diagnosed with lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) in 2019, a rare disease that causes lung cysts and can affect the kidneys. Thanks to the medication Rapamycin, she has been able to stabilise her condition and remain active.

The runs, taking place between February 25 and 28, will see Harriet run from her home city of Bristol to her husband Adam's hometown of Salisbury, raising awareness and funds for LAM Action, the UK charity supporting women affected by the condition.

"I want to show that even with a rare lung disease, you can still push yourself and achieve incredible things," said Harriet. "This challenge is about raising awareness, supporting other women with LAM, and contributing to vital research that could save lives."
