Agencies probing the funding of illegal immigration rackets have found proof that agents, allegedly tied to human smugglers, recently returned from Serbia. They were exploring new routes to channel victims into the US. Intelligence sources report that an agent known as Charlie from Gujarat and Shankla from North Gujarat visited Serbia, situated in the Balkans and Pannonian Plain, bordered by Hungary and Romania. Insiders reveal that these two, working for a detained human smuggling kingpin, roped in two local operatives, known as Sunny and Bhuro Dingucha. The latter hails from the same region from where a family tragically perished while attempting to illegally cross into the US in January 2022.
