OLDHAM Athletic boss Micky Mellon bemoaned his side’s lack of composure in both penalty areas despite coming from behind to earn a battling draw against Eastleigh.

MICKY'S LATICS ARE LACKING

Having not yet won at home since taking the reins at Boundary Park last month, Mellon could only watch as his side threw numerous chances away following Chris Maguire’s first-half penalty put Eastleigh in front.

It wasn’t until a special finish from Alex Reid in the closing stages that Latics broke through a spirited visiting defence.

“It’s another frustrating game,” Mellon told The NLP. “We’re having to continually chase games and show character, conceding first means you are always starting on the backfoot. We’re disappointed not to have gone and won the game but equally we could have lost it.
