DOYLE READY FOR A CARDS TRICK

The former Coventry City, Sheffield United, Portsmouth and Notts County midfielder has been tasked with reviving the Surrey outfit's National League season.

Hopes had been high for this campaign following last year's fourth-place finish put them in the Step 1 play-offs for the first time.

But, so far, they've failed to hit the same heights and a run of eight defeats in ten games saw manager Darren Sarll axed last month.

The club took time to recruit his replacement with 42-year-old Doyle getting the nod for his first number one job.

And after securing a first point yesterday, he wants his side to put on a performance against the Shots on Tuesday.

"I want this team to pick up form," Doyle said. "The recent form hasn't been great for the last 12 games so we have to get back to winning ways and get us higher up the table.

"We have to pick up some rhythm and get a bit of a run going and see where it takes us.
