A GOAL from Adam Rooney was enough for Hereford to see off brave Step 4 side South Park (Reigate) at Edgar Street.

BULLS SEE OFF BRAVE SPARKS

Rooney was on hand to head home Koby Arthur’s cross in the 28th minute to secure the Bulls an 11th win in their last 12 games in all competitions at Edgar Street.

South Park, though, could count themselves unfortunate with Brendan Murphy’s shot creeping just wide in the 84th minute, while Deondre Date’s header was saved in stoppage time.

“It wasn’t great, but that’s cup football – we’ve got to get through to the next round,” said Hereford manager Paul Caddis. “Credit to South Park, they made it difficult for us, but we expected a little bit more from us.
