The Abraham Accord in September 2020 produced an unprecedented possibility of peaceful engagement in West Asia. The subsequent full diplomatic relation between Israel and UAE changed the geopolitical options and the emergence of a new mutually beneficial combination of cooperation. Both Israel and UAE are the strategic partners of India and the three have different but mutually complementary capabilities for gainful collaborations, shared prosperity and creating a new ecosystem of cooperation in the region and between West Asia and South Asia. The Trilateral has profound potential for a productive fusion of the best practices of these three countries the new cutting-edge technology of Israel, the huge skilled workforce of India and the Capital of UAE for tech-based business solutions of the future.
The Trilateral has gained attention and momentum with the remark of the Israeli Ambassador to India, Ron Malka on 10th October 2020 that "If India looks West geopolitically, a Trilateral between India, Israel and UAE is in the realm of possibility. India's wide-ranging ties with both Israel and the UAE are a factor that can shape this trilateral. This is not mere speculation but very much in the realm of possibility." The first meeting of the foreign ministers of the so-called West Asia-QUADIndia, Israel, UAE and the USA on 20th October, 2021provided the needful platform for the promotion and facilitation of this Trilateral and their progressive engagements.
