Among the early mods to the guitar was an added (Gibson) humbucker placed in the middle position between the two Filter Trons and a Gibson harmonica'-style bridge - and that's the period that the new G6131G-MY-RB Limited Malcolm Young Signature Jet (&pound;3,179) celebrates. <p>Behind the scenes, from 2008, work had begun on producing a more detailed replica that was launched in January 2017 as the Gretsch Custom Shop &lsquo;Salute Jet&rsquo; and reflected further changes to the Beast: the Burns-style vibrato tailpiece had been reinstalled along with a floating Gretsch bridge. The aged and relic&rsquo;d Salute Jet is still listed on the Gretsch website at a cool $10,000, although we were informed that currently it&rsquo;s not available in the UK.
