Interview with Gabi Ashton

Happy to have you on FHM! Any exciting projects or travels lined up this year? 

Thank you for having me! The upcoming months will be very busy for me. It’s a bit daunting actually. I’m not someone who believes being very busy equates to productivity or becoming more successful. I’ll be traveling and doing photoshoots all over the world — Paris, Italy, and Spain. In between those trips I’ll be spending some time in Southeast Asia. 

What helps you find that work/life balance?

I love my work, but I absolutely support laying in bed and doing nothing. Sometimes it’s totally necessary to have a reset. They say boredom sparks creativity; right? It’s true. I’m the most imaginative when I have down time. I don’t subscribe to the “no-days off” mentality. I don’t want to work myself into the ground. To be honest, I’m extremely ambitious and love working, so I tend to be pretty preoccupied with my projects. Life is wonderful because I love my job, but I always find time to relax.
