The latest Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. and Blue Book 2023 collection, Out of the Blue, takes a leaf out of legendary designer Jean Schlumberger's book, his constant source of inspiration being the sea. This brilliant collection, created by Nathalie Verdeille, Tiffany's chief artistic officer, is very much an homage to Schlumberger's startling creations as it is an exceptional take on Hollywood glamour. To add to the proceedings, Tiffany & Co. has recently featured acclaimed actress and house ambassador, Anya Taylor-Joy, to represent the collection in a new campaign.
In it, each meticulously crafted piece adorns Taylor-Joy as if she were Venus birthed from the ocean. Keen observers will note how the actress' ethereal beauty and quirky role choices perfectly mirror the collection. Taylor-Joy first appeared seemingly out of the blue - in Robert Egger's The Witch in 2015 but it was her turn as a chess prodigy in the 2020 hit mini-series The Queen's Gambit that captured the hearts of a worldwide audience looking to divert their attention from the pandemic.
