With a legacy that spans generations, there’s a reason why the glamorous Kennedy clan has been dubbed ‘America’s royal family’, and now the only surviving child of John F. Kennedy and Jackie is calling Australia home.
After being hand-picked by President Joe Biden, Caroline Kennedy jetted into town last month to take up her role as the US Ambassador to Australia.
Upon her arrival in Canberra, Caroline pledged that she would “work to strengthen the bonds between our nations and our people”.
The mother of three’s posting holds a very special place in her heart.
“Personally, this means a great deal to me,” she said. “My husband is here with me. We first came to Australia on our honeymoon 36 years ago.”
