"It was a tricky sport, unlike any other," reminisces Akanksha as she takes us back to the beginning of her journey. The unique blend of skills required by squash-the speed of an athlete, agility of a gymnast, and strategic thinking akin to a chess player-struck a chord with her early on. At just nine years old, she found comfort and empowerment in this solo sport, laying the foundation for what would become a remarkable journey.

Born with a cleft lip and palate, Akanksha found confidence on the squash court, and her family became the driving force behind her dreams.
