AS SHOWMAX SERIES COMES TO AN END WITH ITS THE WIFE THIRD AND FINAL SEASON, many are sad to see the beloved Zulu brothers, played by Mondli Makhoba, Wiseman Mncube, Kwenzokuhle Ngcobo, Thulane Shange and Sipho Ndlovu, leave their screens.
As they gather for our GQ cover shoot in partnership with Castle Milk Stout, the bond between the co-stars is visible an indication that what you see on screen is what you get.
The Zulu brothers are modern traditionalists who proudly embrace their customs in a contemporary world. They're well-spoken, bold, different and richly embrace who they are on-and off-screen.
These qualities made them the perfect fit for Castle Milk Stout's Don't Fear Black, Savour It campaign. Each embody an attribute of what makes Black great-rich, bold, smooth, brave and distinct.
QHAWE ZULU KWENZOKUHLE NGCOBO SMOOTH
'I'm very excited to be a part of this campaign,' says Ngcobo. "The Castle Milk Stout brand resonates with me, as it celebrates the true essence of what it means to be African. As a young man who grew up in KwaZulu-Natal and made my way to Joburg, I find that this brand speaks to me as I'm still very much connected to my roots, which I hold dear and never want to lose.
'Qhawe is definitely smooth, a hopeless romantic who displays affection towards those he loves. I'm extremely excited that viewers will see more of this side of him in the upcoming season. It's humbling to see that I could represent Qhawe's character in a way that captivated viewers and took them through the emotions of an authentic story of Black love. That was one of my goals.
