When James and Beverlee made the decision to leave their home of 19 years they weren't sure exactly the style of home they were looking for, but they did know they were looking for somewhere that offered a bit of peace and quiet.
'Our previous home was a chalet bungalow and to be honest we never really saw ourselves moving from here. However, the development we lived in had started to change over the years and as children got older the noise was becoming a bit of an issue for us and we decided to start looking around for a home that would be more suited to our needs.
'After some time and the ups and downs that come with buying a new home, we were delighted to be able to move forward with this new build which sits on an acre site. There are a couple of homes either side of us and green fields all around, so we don't feel isolated, but at the same time we couldn't have asked for a more tranquil setting. However, while it was what we were after, it did take us a bit of time to get used to it being so quiet,' laughs Beverlee.
Although the plans for Beverlee and James' new home were already in place, they were able to work with the builder who agreed to their changes, which included a dining hall rather than a separate dining room.
