The 67 bedroom Killarney Park is known as one of the finest five-star hotels. It is one of the Leading Hotels of the World and was awarded the 'Number One Hotel in Ireland' by TripAdvisor in 2021. Located on the doorstep of Killarney's town centre and situated beside the 26,000-acre Killarney National Park, it offers old world elegance intertwined with modern day luxury.
The hotel's iconic Peregrine restaurant has recently had a €600,000 transformation led by award-winning interior design firm, Kim Partridge Interiors. The Peregrine's concept drew inspiration from Killarney National Park. In fact, it is named after the protected and most important bird species in the park. A palette of earthy tones, organic materials and bespoke handpainted artwork all combine to create a calm and relaxing experience.
We were fortunate to enjoy dinner in here on the first night. We were greeted and seated by Patrick, a charming, witty Tipperary man who ensured our fine dining experience started as well as it finished. We enjoyed a cocktail before our three-course meal and every dish was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented.
There is even a Very Important Kids (VIK) menu! Here children are pampered as much as any other guests and we spoke to a number of families during our stay who confirmed to us that this is truly a welcoming hotel for all ages.
