Inside DIANA'S jewellery box

Diana, Princess of Wales had an unrivalled jewellery collection, which she left to her sons, William, Prince of Wales and Prince Harry. Before her death in 1997, Diana wrote in a ‘letter of wishes’ to accompany her will, ‘I would like you to allocate all my jewellery to the share to be held by my sons, so that their wives may, in due course, have it or use it.’ Here, we take a look at Kate and Meghan’s favourite pieces from Diana’s dazzling jewels…

ENGAGEMENT RING DIAMONDS

Meghan’s sparkling engagement ring has a special tie to her late mother-inlaw. Prince Harry crafted the custom design for his now-wife using one diamond sourced from Botswana and two smaller stones from Princess Diana’s jewellery collection. Her incredible gem is thought to be worth £134,500. Prince Harry explained, ‘The little diamonds on either side are from my mother’s jewellery collection to make sure that she’s with us on this crazy journey together.’
