The 2023 iteration of the event had a few changes from the previous format. Expanding upon just a day for the children into a more inclusive airshow, with a clear delineation between the two areas, had a large crowd turnout to view proceedings and enjoy the displays being performed. Several South African media photojournalists were also availed of the opportunity to attend. ProFlight Zambia, who provided the flights and Southern Sun Ridgeway for accommodation were generous sponsors for the media contingent.
Part of the resident ZAF fighter squadron's hangar was setup to provide tables and seating for the children with colouring books and crayons. A huge party it was from a gift bag of goodies with fruit juice and in the afternoon, they were treated to an enormous piece of cake, made by the House of Cakes. A playground was setup with various activities to keep the children busy and active. Stalls with Candy floss, popcorn, Slush Puppies and more made it extra special.

FACT FILE - THE UNCONVENTIONAL, BIZARRE BELL AIRACUDA
Larry Bell, founder of the Bell Aircraft Corp., now known as Bell Helicopter, entered the aircraft manufacturing industry with a unique bang. On Wednesday, 20 December 2023, a pilot and two transmission line workers on-board a Bell 407 helicopter with registration ZS-RXO took off from Majuba Venus Power Station landing zone (LZ) in KwaZulu-Natal province to conduct aerial work on the T299 mast (a section of Majuba Venus Power Station). The pilot intended to land back at the departure landing zone.
