SEA STRIKER WINS BIG IN BERMUDA

The highly experienced team on Sea Striker, a 61-foot Jarrett Bay based out of Morehead City, North Carolina, has been crossing to Bermuda to compete in the Triple Crown for many years. But this season the stars aligned for the team, led by owner Adrian Holler, Capt. Pete Zook and mate Morris McGahey. They put on one of the most memorable runs in recent memory to emerge victorious in the monthlong Bermuda Triple Crown series.

The team started strong by releasing three blue and one white marlin during the Billfish Blast, placing second in the tournament. Their consistency continued, adding three blue marlin releases during the Big Game Classic and moving into the Triple Crown lead with 3,100 points heading into the final leg. The fishing continued to be outstanding during the Sea Horse Anglers Club Billfish Tournament, with Sea Striker putting the finishing touches on their epic season, releasing six blue and one white marlin to earn first-place-team honors in the tournament. Nothing like going out with a win.

Sea Striker's tally of 6,200 points from 12 blue and two white marlin releases for their anglers-an all-star lineup including Rom Whitaker, Christian Bedsworth, Dave Pfeiffer, Curtis Struyk, Robbie Terry and Jim Sears-secured their Triple Crown victory as well as $203,000 in cash, plus trophies and prizes.

"It's quite an accomplishment," Holler says. "It's a very coveted title. You're fishing against the best boats, the best captains and the best crews in the world. We have a 61-foot Jarrett Bay, and it's probably one of the smaller boats that come to Bermuda."
