Daydreaming and serious watchmaking converge in Richard Mille’s most emotionally expressive timepiece to date, the RM 88 Automatic Tourbillon Smiley.

Competing at the uppermost echelons of luxury haute horlogerie, Richard Mille uses state-of-the-art technology in all its timepieces while also making sure to stay true to all of Swiss watchmaking’s most cherished artisanal métiers. The goal, from its inception, was to create exceptional timepieces that would—in the words of its eponymous founder—make everybody go “Wow!”. And it has not wavered since.

Every Richard Mille timepiece is the result of hours of craftsmanship, and the new RM 88 Automatic Tourbillon Smiley is no exception. If you could go behind the scenes to discover the creation processes of this effervescent timepiece, you’d be able to see dedicated teams of artisans and craftsmen with their noses close to the grind, applying the final decorative touches to a… pineapple?
