Raadhika and Nimit Shah's wedding was a vibrant affair at a California ranch overlooking the mountains.

CALIFORNIA NATIVES RAADHIKA aand Nimit Shah share more than just the same surname. The couple, who belong to immigrant Jain families and are deeply connected to their roots, also share a mutual love for the sunshine-drenched California coast, Bollywood and dancing. It was their love for Hindi cinema and its stylised song-and-dance sequences that brought them together when they met at a collegiate Bollywood dance competition in 2016 and began dating soon after.

After being in a long-distance relationship for several years, the couple—Nimit works as a product manager at Peloton and also looks after his family’s diamond business, while Raadhika is a registered nurse working at UCLA Hospital—tied the knot at a picturesque ranch in Southern California in an elaborate affair that lasted over four days. “The idea was to merge both SoCal and NorCal influences at our wedding. Something that represented the both of us—where royal Marwari traditions met festive Gujarati rituals,” says Raadhika.
