WOMEN in RESIDENCE
Creativity and colour collide for the prestigious 2023 Mecca x NGV Women in Design Commission, which has been awarded to London-based designer Bethan Laura Wood. Delving into the gendered history of education and learning, Wood's installation at the National Gallery of Victoria draws on such diverse references as the kaleidoscope, Regency furniture and the 18th-century London intellectual group the Blue Stockings Society. The NGV will display the installation from December.
