Opposites ATTRACT?

THE LOVERS
NEW THURSDAY, 9PM, SKY ATLANTIC COMEDY DRAMA (BOX SET, SKY BOX SETS/NOW)

An unlikely romance is at the heart of Sky Atlantic’s new darkly comic drama The Lovers.

The six-parter follows badtempered Belfast supermarket worker Janet (The Dry’s Roisin Gallagher), who finds herself drawn to self-centred London-based broadcaster Seamus (Vanity Fair’s Johnny Flynn) after their worlds collide – literally! – when he falls into her backyard.

Written by Northern Irish playwright David Ireland, the series also stars Conleth Hill (The Power of Parker) as Janet’s patient boss, Philip, and Alice Eve (Belgravia) as Seamus’ girlfriend, Frankie.

Here, Roisin, 36, and Johnny, 40, give us their take on the tale…
