PLATFORM 7 NEW FROM THURSDAY 7 DEC, ITVX THRILLER

A young woman's haunting journey to uncover the disturbing truth about her own death is the premise of ITVX's new ghostly psychological thriller Platform 7.

Based on the 2019 bestselling novel of the same name by Apple Tree Yard author Louise Doughty, the four-parter stars BAFTAnominated Jasmine Jobson (Top Boy) as the spirit of Lisa Evans, who's trapped at the railway station where she took her own life.

Lisa has no memory of who she was or the circumstances that led to the events on that fateful night until British Transport Police officer Akash (Yaamin Chowdhury) and station manager Melissa (former Coronation Street star Sacha Parkinson) start re-examining her case.

As she follows their investigation, Lisa learns she was a teacher with a loving family and a loyal boyfriend, which leads her to question whether she did take her own life or if dark forces were at play.

Here, Jasmine, 28, and Sacha, 31, give us their take on this complex story...

What was it that attracted you to this project?

JASMINE It was the supernatural bit that first got my attention. There's something interesting about being around people without their knowledge and haunting them, but I've also never played anybody like Lisa before. It's a challenge to play a character who's gone through things that you haven't experienced, and Lisa's story felt very real.
