QUEEN CHARLOTTE: A BRIDGERTON STORY
NEW FROM THURSDAY 4 MAY, NETFLIX DRAMA
London’s famous Claridge’s hotel is decked out in vibrant floral displays as the cast of Netflix’s highly anticipated period drama Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story take their seats beneath a spectacular chandelier in a lavish ballroom.
It’s the perfect setting for a glorious press event to launch the prequel to Netflix’s romantic drama Bridgerton. Primarily set decades before the events of that runaway hit, the new six-part series details another great love story – that of Queen Charlotte and King George III.
As the show delves into the couple’s early years and those of other well-known Bridgerton characters, such as Lady Danbury and Violet Bridgerton, we see how their pasts have shaped them. Their stories are told over two different timelines with familiar faces returning to play older versions of the characters.
We graciously accepted a royal invitation from India Amarteifio, 21, and Corey Mylchreest, 25, who star as the young Charlotte and George, to find out more…
What can you tell us about the young Charlotte?
INDIA She comes from Germany and is forced into this arranged marriage with George III, which she’s not too happy about at first.
