THE WAY
MONDAY, 9PM, BBC1 DRAMA (BOX SET, BBC iPLAYER)
Impossible choices, power struggles and a fight for survival are the heady mix for BBC1’s new drama The Way, which explores the political and social chaos of today’s world through the lens of an imagined civil uprising in a small Welsh industrial town. Created by award-winning actor Michael Sheen (Staged, Best Interests), Sherwood writer James Graham and documentary maker Adam Curtis, the three-parter is set in Port Talbot, a community which has relied on the local steel industry for generations, and centres on an ordinary working-class family, the Driscolls.
