NEW CRIME DRAMA Shetland Wednesday, 9pm, BBC1
An all-too-rare chance to let her hair down sparks a new investigation for recently promoted DI Alison "Tosh' McIntosh (Alison O'Donnell) as Shetland returns for a ninth series.
At a birthday party, Annie Bett (Sarah MacGillivray) asks Tosh for some professional advice on a private matter. The two arrange to meet the following morning to discuss it further - however, Annie doesn't show up, and Tosh discovers that she and her young son Noah didn't make it home that night.
