While many fought for our freedom during the apartheid era, it's important that we never lose sight of our power, even today. Here, we list a few ways to use this power to stand up against racial injustice in a safe and impactful way.

A WEAPON FOR CHANGE

The phone in your hand has more power against racism than you may think. According to a 2021 working paper published by King's College London, 22M of the 58M South Africans use social media, of which, 21.6M do so via a mobile device. Using social media to call out individuals or groups is a bold move and can be daunting, but it can make an impact, and encourage others to do the same.
