The proudest moment in her life was when she "finally decided to challenge myself musically and audition for a TV singing competition", says Ami Faku. "If I didn't challenge myself, I would've been stuck in one place. Not trusting my potential because of fear held me back from living life to the fullest. Now I fear nothing."
She didn't make the cut for SA Idols but picked herself up, tried again and got a four-chair turn on The Voice SA in 2017 and was snapped up by judge Lira to be in her team.
