This more powerful and durable next-generation glass is said to have an even better drop resistance with the ability to protect devices from getting scratched on rougher surfaces such as concrete. Corning, one of the world's leading specialists in glass, ceramics and related material technologies, announce the launch of the new Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 through an official press statement on its official website.
According to Corning, the new Victus 2 during the lab testing phase manage to survive some of the most extensive drop tests. The new improved version of Gorilla Glass is said to have survived a two metre drop on an asphalt-like surface, apart from showing solid resistance against concrete material. Moreover, the glass was able to manage almost four times better scratch resistance as compared to other competitive aluminosilicate glasses.
