MELLISSA CADDICK MYSTERY WHY DID HE LIE?

When his wife Melissa Caddick left home in the early hours of November 12, 2020, and never returned that day, Anthony Koletti didn’t call the police.

Instead, the hairdresser waited 30 hours to report the disappearance of the Sydney con woman who was under investigation for fleecing millions from family, friends and investors. And when he was called to give evidence at the inquest into Caddick’s disappearance and suspected death, he was less than helpful.

Now, NSW Coroner Elizabeth Ryan has called into question his actions, finding him to be “unreliable” and saying his conduct interfered with the police investigation. In her findings delivered on May 25, Magistrate Ryan ruled that Caddick, whose decomposed foot was found on a NSW beach three months after she disappeared, was dead. But she could not determine how and when Caddick died, with the investigation hampered by Koletti’s failure to provide a “frank account” of the days surrounding her disappearance.
