MEGHAN UNDER FIRE

Ever since fearsome British investigative reporter Tom Bower revealed his plan to write a book about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the couple has lived in fear of its release.

And when Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors hit shelves last week, it lived up to the author’s no-holds-barred reputation.

While Meghan, 40, and Harry, 37, pasted on smiles during a trip to New York, sources tell WHO that behind the scenes the couple is “buckling” under the stinging attack. “It actually came out worse than they imagined,” says an insider. “It appears to cover all the rumours of her ruthless social climbing and allegations she manipulated Harry into a marriage. Meghan hates when she can’t control a narrative, and this is about as out of control as it gets. They’re furious and unsure where to go from here.”

Thanks to a series of PR missteps, an ugly family feud and now this warts-and-all tome, the Sussexes are faced with the stark reality that the post-royal life so carefully planned by Meghan is now lying in tatters.

Indeed last week, just as Revenge was released, Harry made what he hoped would be a poignant, admired speech about human rights, equality and climate change to the United Nations on Nelson Mandela Day, but he’s since been slammed for repeating “woke tropes” and hypocrisy given his extreme wealth. Attendance at the New York event was described as “sparse” by the UK’s Daily Mail.
