LOVE is worth WAITING FOR!

WED AT LAST

The Clark County clerk’s office in Nevada showed the marriage licence obtained by the pair. “They didn’t want their wedding to be a spectacle,” says a source. “The Las Vegas ceremony was perfect. They both loved it. It was private and low-key.”

Plans for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s first wedding in 2003 – called off due to “excessive media attention” – involved truckloads of yellow roses, a custom-made Vera Wang gown, 400 guests, three decoy brides and a top-secret Santa Barbara location. Almost two decades on, the reunited A-listers decided to elope in a quickie Las Vegas wedding, wearing clothes from their closets and not a celebrity guest in sight. But what it lacked in fanfare, it made up for in love.

“We did it,” Lopez began her post on her On The JLo newsletter. “Stick around long enough and maybe you’ll find the best moment of your life in a drive-through in Las Vegas at 12.30 in the morning and at the tunnel of love drive-through with your kids and the one you’ll spend forever with. Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things – and worth waiting for.”
