Three months after the Netflix docuseries Beckham was released, life is very different for Posh Spice. Once known for her stoic demeanour and rarely cracking a smile, Victoria Beckham admits that the public used to keep quite a distance.

"People come up and they're like, 'We love the documentary," Victoria told the Financial Times in a new interview. "Let me tell you... They used to be scared to approach."

While the series was focused on her husband David, 48, and his stellar soccer career, it was the fashion designer who emerged as the MVP of the show. Victoria, 49, has spent years being treated unfairly as the villain, whether as the pop star whose jet-set lifestyle was getting in the way of the sportsman giving the game his full focus or as the last reluctant Spice Girl stopping the band from getting back together. But during the insightful series, the mum of-four let her guard down, discussing the best and worst moments of her life while showing the world her warmth.

“I remember someone showing me the front page of the newspaper, which was a gorgeous picture of David between Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé, and the headline was, ‘What would Posh say?’
