THE CUBAN ACTRESS SHINES IN HER LATEST ACTION ROLE IN THE GRAY MAN
Ana de Armas 'I LOVE BEING A BADASS!'

From Bond to Blonde, Cuban-born actress Ana de Armas continues turning heads. The 34-year-old is fast becoming known as an action star with her knockout performance as Dani Miranda in The Gray Man, which also stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Dhanush. Here, she tells WHO about those fight scenes, her hot co-stars and transforming into the blonde bombshell, Marilyn Monroe.

Did you enjoy playing a badass actionmovie role like this one?

Of course, who wouldn’t? I mean, every building she walks in explodes. I’m responsible for a lot of destruction in this film. But I loved being a badass and kickass – the kicking especially. Punching is fun, but I really love kicking the best (laughs).

How did you prepare for those action scenes?

I did weapons training and military training, just to get that mentality you only really get when you are on a mission and you have to be three steps ahead of everything that could possibly happen. You’re the one in the field risking your own life, pulling the trigger and making the tough decisions, and there is a certain mindset to that.

What was the toughest scene?

The fight sequence with Dhanush and Ryan. I had to train for two and a half months just for that one scene. It was tough and painful, but also pretty satisfying.

What made that one scene so tough?
