Nomusa (Mandisa Vilakazi) has been upset over the fact that she hasn’t been able to land a job recently after her fake qualifications were exposed. So she did what any self-respecting desperate young person would do: Turn to witchcraft. “She was convinced to perform a ritual in order to get all of the good luck from her ancestors. This ritual, much to Nomusa’s delight has been effective and has her floating on cloud nine,” says Mandisa. “Her outlook on life has changed and she somehow lucks her way into becoming one of the official owners of Emsamo bistro along with her boyfriend Thu Sheleni.” Quite a change in fortunes for the one-time waitress who’s been praying for the better things in life.
