TOM CAN'T GET A DATE!

HE'S A MAN OF ACTION, BUT TOM CRUISE ISN'T GETTING MUCH ACTION. MAYBE HIS OVER-THE-TOP LOVE LANGUAGE IS SCARING THE LADIES AWAY?

TOM CRUISE was the man of the hour at this year’s Oscar nominees luncheon at L.A.’s Beverly Hilton in February. Surrounded by celebs clamoring for a selfie, the actor was hailed by none other than Steven Spielberg for reviving the pandemic-plagued movie biz. “You saved Hollywood’s ass, and you might have saved theatrical distribution,” gushed the legendary director. “Seriously, Top Gun: Maverick might have saved the entire theatrical industry.”

With his death-defying stunts and onscreen charisma, the 60-year-old certainly proved he can get viewers back into theaters — to the tune of $1.49 billion box office worldwide. What he can’t seem to do? Land a date! Thrice divorced, he’s seen a string of relationships fizzle and was recently dinged by newly single Shakira at the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Now sources tell Star he’s on the prowl again. “Tom would love to meet that someone special,”says an insider. “He emphatically believes the right girl is out there.”
