BRIDE AND JOY
A glittering host of British TV and film stars came together to celebrate the marriage of Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery and Jasper Waller-Bridge last week.
Michelle and talent agent Jasper, the younger brother of Fleabag creator Phoebe WallerBridge, said “I do” at St Nicholas’ Church in Chiswick in West London, almost two years after announcing their engagement in The Times newspaper.
Michelle, 41, wore a bespoke London-based couturier Emilia Wickstead floor-length silk gown worth £100,000. She carried a pear-handled £995 Aspinal of London bag. The 35-year-old groom – who has managed Holly Willoughby, Amanda Holden, Ant and Dec and One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson in the past – was in a traditional three-piece navy suit.
The bride, who played Lady Mary Crawley in the ITV drama, was surrounded by her Downton co-stars including Joanne Froggatt (Lady Mary’s maid Anna Bates), who wore a Ghost dress with a Topshop blazer and Lily James (Lady Rose Aldridge), who looked chic in an Erdem floral gown, teamed with a coat by Galvan and a matching satin bag.
