'There's a divide on this issue

As Prince Harry reportedly looks for a base back in London, a source tells new it's unlikely Meghan will want to spend much time in the UK

He left the country three years ago after stepping down as a senior royal to start a new life in California with wife Meghan Markle. But a source has told new Prince Harry is now looking for a second home back in the UK.

The source claims that in a surprise move, the Duke of Sussex is house hunting over here as he’s eager for his family to split their time between the UK and the States, after he was asked to vacate Frogmore Cottage earlier this year.

However, our source also claims the decision is causing some tension between him and Meghan, who very much loves their life in the US.

The source claims, “There is a divide between the couple on this issue but they will soon start looking for a property of their own near London and Harry is very much leading this.

“They won’t be asking the King for a property on the royal estate due to the issue that arose with Frogmore Cottage. Making use of a small apartment in Kensington Palace from time to time isn’t out of the question, but when it comes to a home in the UK, they will purchase that themselves.”

Since Harry and Meghan’s fallout with the royal family and their move to the States in 2020, the Duchess of Sussex has only been back to the UK a few times, one of which was for the Queen’s funeral in September last year.

According to royal expert Duncan Larcombe, it’s not unlikely that Harry will come back to the UK regularly without her in the future, just as he has for occasions in the past such as Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021, and the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue three months later.
