The Duke and Duchess of Sussex put on a united front in the face of harsh criticism over their new “rebrand”, with a representative last week defiantly stating, “This couple will not be broken.”
Prince Harry and Meghan hit back at critics of their new website Sussex.com, which was met with a backlash from some, who argued that the pair were trying to “reclaim” their royal titles and status.
And although Meghan has had little to do with the royal family for some time, a source has told new that she could return to the UK in May.
It is hoped that the former Suits actress will help her husband celebrate the 10th anniversary of his charity, the Invictus Games, in London.
“Harry is very keen for his entire family to join him,” the source said. “It’s important for him that they show a united front and focus on building bridges with the rest of the royal family.”
The source added that Harry is currently in “government-level talks” to return to the UK for the service at St Paul’s Cathedral to mark a decade of the charity and that he very much hopes it will include Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two.
The idea of Meghan returning to British soil may come as a surprise to some. It is claimed she once vowed she would “never step foot in England again”.
Yet time can be a great healer and Harry and Meghan may believe that the moment has come, particularly in the midst of King Charles’ cancer battle, to mend their fractured relationship with Harry’s family.
