Fern Britton poured cold water over claims she was "devastated" and "struggling" last week after her ex-husband was pictured in an apparent embrace with her best friend.
Fern spoke out after pictures emerged of This Morning chef Phil Vickery, 61, kissing Lorraine Stanton, 58, on a London street after emerging from a building carrying overnight bags.
Breaking her silence on the images, Fern, 65, took to Twitter to "clear up any concerns" on Friday, writing, "It's not true." When the images were published last Thursday, it was claimed Fern felt "hurt", "shocked" and "struggling to process her mixed emotions".
Meanwhile, Lorraine released a statement, revealing she has broken up from her husband. She said, "It's a difficult time for me and the family. I don't actually live in the marital home any more and it's got nothing to do with the latest incident over the pictures.
