Emily Atack is ready for a new chapter in 2024, as she prepares to become a mother for the first time.
The comedy actress, who is in a relationship with nuclear scientist Dr Alistair Garner, recently revealed that she is "delighted" to be pregnant, and is due to give birth in April.
Following the news, a source explained that Emily has finally found her "happily ever after" after years of romantic turmoil.
"Emily is so thrilled, she has always wanted to be a mother but has been very, very unlucky in love so it hasn't happened before now," explained the source.
The 34-year-old, who first found fame playing Charlotte Hinchcliffe in the comedy series The Inbetweeners, is thought to have been first linked with Alistair, 37, last year and recently moved in with him.
It appears that the couple's families - including Emily's mother, actress and singer Kate Robbins - couldn't be happier with the news, as the source shared, "The whole family are thrilled for Emily. She's got a very close relationship with her own mother. They go on holiday together and go out together, so she hopes to have the same with her child." Emily has been open about her desire to have a family of her own in the past, admitting in 2019 that she wouldn't be "complete" until she had a child.
