HOW DAVID'S DOGS ARE PART OF BRAND BECKHAM

The former England footballer has combined his love of animals with a new rural lifestyle to create a perfect image of the classic country gent

Against a backdrop of blue sky, fields and a lake, David Beckham looks every inch the country gentleman in a tweed jacket and flat cap as he poses alongside his four canine companions.

“A few serious faces this morning but it’s like trying to get all 4 kids together and smile all at the same time,” he says, sharing the picture of him and his pack with his 87.9 million followers on Instagram.

Since buying a £12m converted barn in the Cotswolds, the 49-year-old former England footballer has shared a number of images showing him with his cocker spaniels Olive, ten, Fig, seven, and Sage, six, as well as three-year-old cockapoo Simba.

The Beckhams have long been dog lovers. David and Victoria welcomed their first pets, rottweilers Puffy and Snoop, when David was playing for Manchester United in 1997. Then, in 2009 and 2011, English bulldogs Coco and Scarlet joined the family.

But David's well-documented bond with Olive, Fig, Sage and Simba, along with his chickens and bees, has increasingly become a hallmark of the father of four’s off-duty image.
